 Principal's Message

Dear Cheetah Community,

Welcome back from Spring Break! I hope that everyone had lots of fun and had a chance to rest up. We are in the final stretch of the year, believe it or not!

We began our CAASPP Practice testing this week. Students in grades 3-5 are practicing logging on and off of the test, learning how the test environment works, and getting a glimpse of the types of questions they will see on the ELA, Math, and Science (5th only) tests. Our goal is for the students to feel relaxed, confident, and supported by us. At home, please do your best to keep a regular bedtime, make sure that your student has a good breakfast, so that they are ready to do their best! Here are some additional things that you can do:

  • Make sure that your student is on time - starting the test late is not optimal

  • Encourage your child each day

  • Keep the test in perspective. This is just one test. They are not expected to know all of the answers

  • Let them know that you are proud of them!!

Our younger students will be taking turns cheering on our test-takers on the testing days. Go, Cheetah Community!

Thank you!

Margaret Poor

Important Notice RE: Items dropped off during school hours.

One of our core values at Theuerkauf is Responsibility. There has been a large increase in items forgotten and dropped off items during the day. Sometimes it is challenging to get items to students in a timely manner and we want to minimize interruptions of lessons during class time so all students can stay focused on their education.

Please support your child at home by going through a quick checklist before leaving: Warm jacket, hat or gloves if needed, lunch box, backpack, instrument, homework, etc.

Thank you for supporting our core value of Responsibility and minimizing classroom interruptions.

If you do need to drop off a forgotten item please label it with the following so there is no confusion or mix ups. Please note that the office staff will do their best to get it to the students in a timely manner:

  1. Student name

  2. Grade

  3. Teacher and Room #
