 Principal's Message

Open House - Tomorrow! Thursday, March 21st - Cupcakes and Fruit Cups!

Please make sure to come to our Open House Night to celebrate all of the great learning happening at Theuerkauf! New families - 5:30-6pm and Current families 6-7pm.

Our theme is a scavenger hunt!  You will go to your classroom and receive a scavenger hunt to go on! Some things to look forward to:

  • Grab a cup with us! Fruit cups and School Pride Cupcake decorating in the MUR!

  • Local support services will also be set up in the MUR

  • Join the PTA and support MVEF at their table in the MUR

  • Art Show in the Library made possible by MVEF funding!

  • Student work and showcases in their classroom!

Open House provides families a chance to celebrate learning and build upon the home-school connection. When families show interest and invest time into learning about their education, the child is more engaged and excited about their learning which helps boost their effort and success!

Principal/PTA Coffee on Friday!

Come to the flagpole in the front to enjoy some coffee and donuts! We will be discussing upcoming events, ways to get involved, smart snacks and how to prepare for CAASPP! We are looking to build our ELAC and PTA! Come stop by and say hello to someone new!

You’re invited to CSMA Music Concerts!

I was involved in music from a very young age. I loved to perform in musical theater and I was part of different choir groups! Some of my favorite singing experiences with my chamber choir were singing during the holidays at senior centers and then singing in Trinity Church in remembrance of all the victims of 9/11. Music is a beautiful outlet for me and I am so grateful that MVEF sponsors CSMA so other students can experience the joy of music. If you are available, please come cheer on your child as they perform what they have learned this year! Thank you to our wonderful music teacher, Ms. Sylvia Yuan for all of her hard work this year and sharing the gift of music!

From Ms. Sylvia Yaun:

You are invited to see what your students have been learning in their weekly music classes with Ms. Sylvia Yuan from Community School of Music and Arts (sponsored by MVEF).  Your students receive 24 weeks of music a year thanks to CSMA and MVEF. As we finish the year, we would like to invite you to a multi-grade concert in the Theuerkauf MUR on Friday, April 5th.

1st & 2nd Grade: 8:30am

3rd & 4th Grade: 1:45pm

Parents who come to watch will need to sign in at the office in accordance with the district visitor policy -- showing a valid driver's license or ID.

Kinder and TK students will have an in-class presentation in the next few weeks, and 5th grade students have their own instrument performance at the end of the school year.

We hope that you can join us! You may contact Sylvia Yuan with any questions @ [email protected].

Warm regards,

Principal Danielle Lyons
